Better to have loved and lost…

This quote is so funny to me…and true at the same time. Like many couples probably did, I tried to make my marriage work for the sake of not having my kids go through the divorce as well, because they’ve gotten used to my ex-husband being around, but kids are smart and can pick up on bad the bad vibes that we had between us. There was no point in making myself miserable, while trying to make everybody else happy. You know the saying, “If mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy?” I think my mood has improved a lot since the divorce was finalized, and the kids can definitely sense that.
